Hearing aids contain digital circuits which allow the audiologist to program the hearing aid based on the hearing loss, patient perception of sound, and make modifications based on the environments the patient encounters. Digital circuitry allows the hearing aid to amplify soft sounds more than loud sounds while filtering out background noise in noisy environments. Digital noise reduction technology allows the hearing aid to monitor your listening environments and reduce background noise while focusing in on speech.

Our office offers three levels of hearing aid technology which include a basic technology level , mid-level technology, and premium technology.

  • Basic technology level hearing aids provide assistance in the common listening environments such as one-on-one conversations, watching television and in restaurants.
  • Mid-level technology provides advanced technology for hearing assistance in more diverse and challenging listening environments such as meetings, church, music, restaurants and in social environments.
  • Premium technology level provides the ultimate technology to provide hearing assistance in complex listening environments such as the social gatherings, the mall, hearing conversations taking place in the backseat of car, and in crowds.

To discuss hearing aid options, call our office to schedule a hearing aid evaluation appointment and one of our Doctors of Audiology will discuss your degree of hearing loss and lifestyle needs to recommend the best style and technology level suited for you.
